A confession: This puzzle has made the rounds and been rejected three different times. I haven’t changed the cluing up to make it harder for the site, so it’s going to feel not so tough. But…I still think it’s a good puzzle. It’s inspired by 15-Across, which I learned from watching a season of [COUNTRY NAME REDACTED] Drag Race although it is not a drag term.

Lately, I’ve been keeping seeds for themelesses more like I do for cryptics: with a clue I want to use, whether or not that word is particularly “sparkly” in and of itself. In this case, that clue was 37A.
